Get started while you still have a
job. That's the most important piece of advice that you can have. For
some this is not an option for the majority however it is. You don't wake up
one day and say, I am going to start a business. You have to plan it. formulate
a business plan. The more you think it through and plan it, the more likelihood

Work on your business on the evenings and weekends
while you still have your regular job, so you can learn if a market exists
beyond your friends and family for your services or products. That way, you'll
learn if being an entrepreneur is what you want to do before you cut the cord
of a regular monthly salary
Learn who your customers are. One of the most
common mistakes a new business person makes is thinking everyone is a target
customer,. This process takes some time. You have to test to see who wants what
you have. It's why people start out going to local craft fairs and flea
markets. Go to trade shows and discover who wants the products and needs the
service.
