Competition on eBay is extreme and making
yourself noticed is difficult, but also essential for the success of your
business. Your listing has to stand out from the crowd; otherwise it will not
generate profit as customers will pass it by. The listing title and description
can make the difference - here are a few tips on improving your eBay presence
and increasing your product sales:
Titles. First impression is vital and
the title is a key element here. Potential customers look at the titles first
and, based on the information or the form of the message they take the buying
process a step further and read the item's description. Attention grabbing
titles are desired by everyone, but few eBay sellers have the skills to compose
a successful headline. Here are some tips that will help you come up with a
relevant, eye-catching title for your listing:
- Make full use of the limited space - don't
use clichés like "amazing offer" or "check this out".
- Include precise information as most buyers
are used to browsing quickly through listings.
- Keywords are important - try to anticipate
what words potential customers will search for.
- Learn from other people's experience and see
which add titles had success in the past.
